Tried opening an after effects project recently and ran into an error I've never seen. Pop up box says "After Effects error: Client induced error 83::2" . Any insight into what this means or how to fix? All my other projects still work fine. Just this one doesn't open. Tried uninstalling After Effects and uninstalling and that didn't work.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have a project of an intro/outro of about 2 seconds. The original size was 1280x720 24fps. I'm wondering how can I adjust the size with the 1920x1080 specs with 29.97fps, etc...without changing the look and feel of the output? keeps the same quality, etc...I can't figure out how to do this without causing it to reduce in size and not look the same.

Is there a way to lock an .aep file when it's open? Similar to when I open a file in Softimage - if someone else tries to open that file they get a message saying, "you can't - it's open somewhere else"
Working off the server ... communication ... or lack thereof ... people not telling other people they have an After Effects project open ... I can see this becoming a nightmare.
I looked on AEScripts for something but turned up nothing.
Any ideas? How do others with larger facilities working off the server manage this?

Hey, I'm trying to render the video to 1080 through H.264 format however as you can see I have this error. Can anyone help?
I'm talking about the stopwatch between the graph editor & brain storm that makes it easier to animate & edit.
When I log into cs4 it's not there, but it was there when I used cs6.
Is it not available in cs4, or is it hidden somewhere in the options?

While reading the features of AfterEffects CC2014, I noticed the following:
"removal of H.264, MPEG-2, WMV, FLV, F4V, and SWF exporters from After Effects"

IF no FLV export is available under After Effects CC 2014, there is NO WAY to EMBED an flv into flash !! (Linking is NOT always what is wanted!!)

I am having issues when I launch After Effects. A window appears saying: "Quicktime is not Installed"; which is not true. What is going on? I see several questions and answers to the issue and none of them solve my problem. Why ADOBE sells a product that if problematic like this?
Hi all - I keep running into an issue where if I have a time remapped clip in Premiere, it is impossible to take that clip into After Effects and preserve EXACTLY the same time-remapping.
It will come out more or less the same, but I am comparing by taking a render from Premiere, stacking it on top in AE, and using the difference blending mode. The result: anywhere from a few isolated frames here and there to (in some cases) all of the frames will be slightly different. It's like AE is using basically the same remapping instructions, but interpreting them slightly differently.
Not usually an issue, but on stuff that is frame critical like remapping for lip-synch, it's quite a hassle.
This occurs on either copy and paste from Premiere to AE, or on "Replace With After Effects Composition." I've had even worse results bringing things into AE by importing the project file.
Any ideas to get around this?

I have created a 3d object in photoshop that I want to bring into after effects CC and do a very simple 360 spin.
I have read that the 3d import is no longer available from CS6 onwards so I have downloaded Cinema 4D lite plugin for affer effects. I have managed to get the photoshop 3d object into Cinema 4d as I would expect but now I am struggling to find a way to export that object and import it into After Effects?
Theres no fancy lighting, it should be a simple process but I am baffled. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When I right click on my footage and go to interpret then main, the options pop up and I want to get to more options which is at the bottom. Unfortunately though, the option windows goes past my screen(it snaps into place at the top of my screen) and I dont know how to resize it and when i drag it up to get to the bottom it wont go past my screen so I can get to the bottom options.

Ok, here we go. I have a animation project in AE. Im so new on AE and i didn't realise, i have to convert my vector layer to shape or not character looks very blurry. I create my character animations with puppet tool. But after i convert my vector layer to shape, puppets copying to new shape layer but paths is not, naturally no any move
How can i copy and paste my puppet tools path to new shape layer?

Issues i come across:
1. I get Jitters during RAM preview. Specially when i enable ray trace mode..
2. Also i get a pop up saying "Ray-Tracing on the GPU an approved NVIDIA graphics card and CUDA 5.0 or later. For now ray-tracing will use the CPU.
Can any body help me with the issues i face now pls?
