2015.3 Won't open

Hello,

This is a new problem I've been running into. My after effects 2015.3 (13.8.1) won't open. the first box opens up and that's it. it looks like it's loading up but it won't go "Initializing type engine..." I've tried uninstalling it and then re installed it, but every time the same issue. any ideas? Ive been able to open after effects before it was until lat week that this happened.
