When will will Adobe utilize multi-core processing architecture for After Effects CC 2018 and beyond?

FYI: I'm posting this since I haven't seen any updates from the AE Product Team since Q1 2016 (Re: When will Adobe release information about the new multi-core processing architecture that will be implemented in future versions of After Effects? )

While a great 3rd party application (RenderGarden) helps boost the render queue, preview rendering within AE remains incredibly weak. When will multithreading be a part of the AE workflow?

I'm currently on an iMac Pro, 3ghz 10-core, 128gb ram, Radeon Pro Vega 64 16 GB. Running on High Sierra (although this might have been a mistake to upgrade, I may roll back to Sierra or El Capitan).

Doing something as simple as animating 2d text over a single 1080p ProRes 422 clip previews decently at 1/4 resolution, but previewing full resolution takes about 1 second per frame (without motion blur). It's frustrating to see such powerful hardware wasted on AE.

Even if there's no update coming soon, can the community at least get an update from the product team regarding challenges they're facing and when (+/- a year) we might see the addition of multithreading?

Sincerely,

Everyone
