element 3d is not displaying the textures of models

i am using after effects cs6 . i am using element 3d to create a 3d intro . but element 3d does not displays the textures . for eg the the chess board in the starter pack does not displays the textures . and also when i open the diffuse to add textures the texture channel does not displays the texture .
