The render performance is a joke. I dont know why i even pay for this.
How about not worrying so much how to sell your cloud-content, and worrying about the performance?

Every speed bump i get with a new computer you guys eradicate with a new AE version.
So disappointing.
So im trying to install After Effects, installed it before but uninstalled it a while go.
Now, I have some of my Creative Cloud apps installed on my SSD, but there's not enough space on there anymore, so I changed the installation folder to my hdd, which has over 600 GB of disk space left, yet CC is still telling me that there's not enough disk space available, and that it's unable to install after effects.
I already reinstalled the Creative Cloud app but it didn't work.
What's the problem here, what am I missing?
I've seen a lot of solvable problems with the puppet tool the in the past, but this one isn't making any sense, and I can't seem to find anyone with the same problem. I've applied three puppet pins to three separate light fixtures that are shape layers. I added a simple two-keyframe animation to them to make them swing then added the following expression:
loopOut(type = "pingpong", numKeyframes = 0)
The result was good at first, but then it started acting weird. "Glitching out" is the only way I can describe it. Here is a link to what I'm seeing: Puppet Glitch - YouTube
I've tried adjusting the mesh expansion and triangles but it only seemed to make the problem worse. Every time I do something additional to the animation it either turns off all together or throws in random frames.
Is there a way to fix this? Am I missing something?
Hi everyone. I'm trying to reverse the scale of a shape layer connecting/parenting it with the scale of another shape layer. The problem is that when I ad the symbol - at the beginning of the expression, it doesn't reverse the scale. I've tried to put * -1 at the end of the expression but I doesn't work either.
I have no problems reversing the position, for example, could someone help me please?

I have looked everywhere how to enable the background mode and all discussions point to in the scene window there is a color chip that switches between black, white and transparent. I do not have this option on mine and there are no setting windows to enable it or change it. Does anyone else have this issue? I am using the latest version CC 2018 on Windows 10.

I have a serious Fuc*ing problem
in year 2018, when we are traveling to the fu*king Mars, my AE cannot edit basic text layer without freezing the sh*t out my PC. I would like to get a decent answer how to fix this incredibly "hardcore" problem. Otherwise I will have to blame it on Windows and burn whole building down.
There is noting else then adobe Cloud installed on my PC, - clean install from Dec 2017
AE version 15. build 180
PC confing :

Hello,
I used the clone stamp to remove a window that was adjacent to the window on the left part of this image. The final image looks like this:
When I duplicate the layer, the duplicated layer looks like this:
Any idea what's going on here? Here's a screenshot of my clone stamp settings below. From what I've read, these seem to be the correct settings for what I'd like to do. Ultimately, the window moves to the right part of the screen. I'd like to remove the window that's adjacent to this window so it is just blue on the right side using a combination of the clone stamp and motion tracking. The background changes color to a lighter shade of blue, which is why I'd like to use the clone stamp so the color of the blue will change throughout the sequence.
Any help is appreciated!

When I try and export some objects I had made in illustrator, the gif made is messed up because the movement behind the gif is copied and stays there.

i'm beginner for Ae CC 2018.
I would like to create an animation inside a single project from simply two jpg images(two comp).
But i can't create a only composition for simply animation. (my project example).
I'd insert first image and second image and I'd create the compositions.
I'd drag and drop the composition into panel timeline.
I'd apply effects on every compositions.
I'd try a pre-composition to resolve.
I'd create a pre-composition selecting two compositions and text layers. (from menu Layers choose pre-comp)
But I 'd find a problem.
I can see in panel composition two images - first image above second image. I can't go over.
(I can apply animation effects on images and I can apply text effects,ok there are no problem.)
I'm not sure that it's a correct procedure to create a global animation.
Well, I would like to create a simple global animation appending the second composition to first composition.
I'd find inside Adobe online manual - section composition but i can't find a really suggestion.
I'd find into Adobe video tutorial but i can't find any helpful info or really guide.
I'm sorry for simply question but I've no any resource to get help.

the problem is that i have 34GB video file which is 1h 30mins long, and when i try to import it into AA it becomes 9mins 30 secs long, to compare with, recently i uploaded 40mins 20GB file and everything was good, i could use all 40 mins as i wanted.
i have also changed maximum disk cache size to 40 GB
Adobe after effects 2015.

I'm having such a hard time doing my work with after effects because audio is always lagging, i can barely listen 2-4 sec until it glitches completely and yes all the time it shows that my clip is rendered (green bar on the timeline). I know people with 2011 MacBook Pro and it's working fine on their Mac...

Anybody know why it takes a full 90 seconds after I press OK for this message to close and give me back control over the program? Until it goes away I cannot purge my disk cache, or do anything else with After Effects for that matter.

I got a proper gaming PC, GF 1080, all those things.
but I used AE 2018 to render my 4K VR video, it's around 5 mins, 30 frame per sec, I tried all ways on google, multi-processing blah blah, but nothing changed... it takes 6 hours. FOR GOD SAKE!!!
May I ask is it normal????
if this is too stupid, pls help me, I need to submit my work...

I recently switched to windows 10 and now every time I open After Effects, Illustrator crashes (meaning it goes into a not responding state) .
Sometimes it's even worse as After Effects doesn't even open; I have to close the AE process from task manager and then open it again.
Please let me know if you need any more information about logs, windows 10 configuration, etc - this issue is seriously slowing my work.
Hi. I recently tried an auto-save of a file I'm working on, and when I tried to do so I received an error notice stating the following:
After Effects warning: Unble to import file "C:\....[filename]..." as project (bad format or not readable).
Has anyone encountered this problem before? Is there a solution?

P.S.I'm working on After Effects 2017.
Windows 7 machine with NVDA P6000. I did a recent Windows Nvidia driver update along with updating AE to 15.0.1. When I launch it says it is missing this file. I uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. Then downgraded back to 15.0 and now that version has the same error.
What can I try next?

Hi folks,
I'll try to explain this as best as i can. I am having a problem with a composition in after effects. I'm trying to get a composition of a phone to move toward another part of the screen. When i do this however, the layers inside the phone composition lagg behind it slightly; leaving part of them sticking out of the side of the phone.
Here's a pic to help you understand:
The screen is a layer inside the composition of the phone, and the phone is moving from left to right.
I'd really appreciate some help!
