I've been getting this error from past 2 3 projects, never had this error before, need urgent solution as i'm running late on delivering the project, I don't wanna use render queue since it doesn't have H.264 format.

Why does my path change position when I paste it (to a mask, or position, ...)?
I'm using AE CS6 and AI CS6.
I opened a AI document in AE and converted it to shapes and resized and repositioned it.
Then I tried to copy/paste the path from the shape to a lens flare center (to animate the lens flare). And that worked but, but it has moved off quite a bit and out of frame.

I've just downloaded the new After Effects CC 2018 and the UI font is hard to read. Especially when you highlight something.
To give two examples of the new UI:
I don't know if it's a new font or just too little space between the characters but the UI font of CC 2017 was a lot easier on the eyes. Is there a way to change this to the old font/font-settings of CC2017? Or are there any plans to change this back?
Someone on Reddit mentioned the font was changed to create more consistency across all Adobe products. I love consistency, but also readability

I have an issue and it goes like this:
I imported my illustrator-file, as the composition into After Effects. The images consisted on vector layers. I then then used "create shapes from vector layer" on each layer.
Now, both in AE but also when rendering, the curvy lines appear excessively pixelated and not sharp. Which is of course not acceptable. Continous rasterzation is turned on for every layer. I have also tried increasing the motion blur, when rendering
The dark green shadow appears in particular pixelated. This shape i edited a lot in AE - can this be the reason?
Otherwise please notice both the dark blue, dark green and yellow diagonal lines (from the light on the ground) i the quicktime frame.
I hope someone can help me, I've been skating around various forums bit I still haven't found a sufficient answer.

Hello, I can't make it through the tutorial 2D to 3D Projection mapping Tutorial for Adobe After Effects - YouTube with a jpeg image, as in material options there is no "light transmission" option under the "casts shadows" unlike in the tutorial, I even downloaded the file of tutorial itself and it opened with this option. By creating a new file with another jpeg it still the same issue. how to enable it or what alternative is there maybe to make it work?

The following problem drives me crazy: I just updated AE to the new version of 2018. The installation
of the program in the Adobe Creative window works properly but when I want to open it, the only
window that opens is the Render Queue Window. I can't open new projects, I cannot create new compositions
--> the Render Queue Window stands still, there's no progress..
I already deinstalled it, reinstalled it then but I've got the same problem again. Anybody out there who can help?
P.S.: All the other programs like Premiere, Illustrator, etc. work great and my MacBook requires all components needed (graphic card,...)

The render performance is a joke. I dont know why i even pay for this.
How about not worrying so much how to sell your cloud-content, and worrying about the performance?

How can I animate this 'Small Square' shape around all 4 corners of the 'Large Square'.
Fairly urgent. I've got an After Effects project I've been working on for a couple months now, and this week is the crunch to export it finally. The project is a grid of several videos, mostly 1080p, and so it takes about 6 hours to render out. I've exported several versions of it with no problems, as both uncompressed AVI and highest res WMV.
However, as of last night, it was rendering out with random videos in the grid flashing black frames. I've not changed anything about export settings, have restarted my computer and tried, but no luck. Baffled. Any suggestions? Deadline is looming.

Ok, I know this is a recurring thing seen over the internet, I tried to do anything I could get my hands on google:
* Repair Permissions
* Delete Blackmagic stuff
* Moving plugins
* complete reinstall of ALL Adobe related stuff and folder
Still this thing happens no matter which version i try to open (and of course it happens when i need the app the most) - "After Effects can’t continue: unexpected failure during application startup". I think it popped after the recent OSX 10.13.3 supplemental update.
I think i tried everything and i have no clue what to try next. Any ideas?
No trapcode selection under Effects to use for a solid/particular. Where can I find it?
I want to incorporate many of the After-Effects created by Digital Juice. Should I order Adobe Premiere Pro - or - Adobe After Effects?

Apologies in advance if this is quite a basic thing I'm not quite working out atm! I've gone through lots of the AE tutorials step by step and am now trying to figure out how I can cater AE to the work I do. ATM I'm looking for it to to speed up my workflow and push animation possibilities, and once I've cracked this I hope to keep learning
I'm moving from creating short animations in photoshop (an example below) but this can be slower than I'd like and so I am now trying to learn and move over to AE to animate my PS compositions. Getting my head around the different workspaces and failing a little atm.
Currently for longer animations (multiple 'scenes') I'd create a number of mov exports from different photoshop compositions and piece these together in premiere.
Does this work in a similar way for AE, so to create a multi 'scene' animation (creating original artwork in photoshop) would it be best to create these scene by scene and bring these together in Premiere?
If not, my thinking is that the AE file would have a crazy number of layers on the timeline panel as my photoshop compositions often have 50+ layers.
Any advise here would be great.

I deleted the preferences and had to reinitialize plugins, all went quite okay, up to the point where some jsx-script-windows decided to get outside the screen.
I am using a mulitple monitor setup, 2 monitors hooked on thunderbolt and one over a usb-screen converter.
Since jsx-plugin-windows are not windows per se, I can't "recall" the windows with the handy "bring 'em back" software, nor the "show all windows"-commands in OSX.
Happens to some smaller jsx-scripts (distribute layers and such)
Any idea?

I'm trying to move over from creating animations in photoshop to AE. I want to work out how I can use AE to speed up my work flow and push animation abilities.
I have watched and worked through some AE tutorials and there is one that I'm now trying to apply specifically to the way I work, so that I can practice this not just with the pre made AE tutorial file downloads.
So my Q... I'm trying to work out how to create an animation whereby multiple videos play within the different shapes below. So there would be a different video in each shape simultaneously (one has sky, the other a flower etc).
Is my best bet to create custom masks for each of these using the pen tool? Can I then copy and paste these maks to multiple videos/stills if say I wanted three different videos to play within the the star shape.

Scoured Google, scoured Adobe Forums. Can't find how to get the bezier handles to show up in the graph editor inside of Adobe AE CC 2015.2. I have two keyframes for position set. No matter what I do, I cannot get the beziers handles to show up so I can customize my movements. Any ideas?
Hey guys, was having an issue in AE CC 2015.2.
I've kind of been going through the paces getting back to 2015.2 after updating to 2015.3 because some of my plug ins don't work on the newer update. I proceeded to do some stuff, something crashed I believe during an odd auto-save and I needed to force quit AE and now I've been having "Unknown File I/O input error" when I try to save additional anything into my projects.
Reading through other forum helps, it's seems that most often this issue is related to trying to save to a full drive or when your projects are being saved off to a server or something distant. Because this feels like it's potentially a hardware issue, here's my drive set up for Editing.
I've tried to save of to my OS/Program File drive just to see if it made a difference, but it didn't.
I don't know if this helps, just giving more info I guess, but I'm pasting a series of mocha masks onto solid layers from a video that is 3 hours long and using them to create animal "animations" for a test project. I can only paste so many of these masks and then there comes a point where one more will give me the I/O error.
The drive labeled RAID 0 is 2 1tb drives in that configuration. But it seems that 730 GB and 224 GB is ample space for most things so I'm confused.
Let me know what other information you require.

I have a clip, then I tracked the clip, and it doesn't matter what I use, tracking motion, mocha, tracking camera...
On the preview is fine, but when I render it it's not, the replacement object is out of sync with what I did.. I even re-installed the whole suite...
I don't know what to do.

I have a comp in which I added precomps with different settings. I would like to reconcile the settings without distorting anything. The comp is destined for output to the web.
Here are the settings:
Precomp 1: 750 by 580 / square pixels / 60 fps / drop/nondrop frame is greyed out
Precomp 2: 750 by 580 / square pixels / 29.97 fps / drop frame
Precomp 3: 720 by 480 / D1/DV NTSC (0.91) / 29.97 fps / nondrop frame
Any suggestions much appreciated!
