AEGP Plugin CINEWARE SceneLayer: CINERENDER - Connection failure (5027 :: 12)

Working in AE CC2014.1 and C4D lite.  I have a project with a few .c4d files in it.  I'm working on this project at my work computer, and I then bring it home in the evenings and work on it on my own computer (both mac pros).  At work it's fine, at home I have problems. 

 

I get the error "AEGP Plugin CINEWARE SceneLayer: CINERENDER - Connection failure (5027 :: 12)" when I launch AE, and I think it does this for every .c4d file I have in this project.  I can see the file just fine in C4D lite, and in after effects I see a black screen in the comp window.  However I can see the thumbnail of the c4d file in the project window when I have the c4d file selected.  The layer is active in the comp's timeline as well.  Not sure what to do about this.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

What are the bounding box that surrounds the composition panel? And how can I remove it?

Hi,

 

There's a bounding box that surrounds my animation cell in the following video:

 

 

It's present in the 7th cell, the bounding box (correct label?) that surrounds one of the cell/animation. What is it and how can I remove it?

Hi, i want to use an option...i don't know how it's called in english, but in spanish it's ''Recopilar Archivos..'' and it function it's to take all the material, videos, audio, etc and put them in a single folder in order. (it's an option on the File option, almost in the end.

My question is, with this option, i want to use it for a project that i have, is there any way to see how much disk space it will take to save everything? since i want to join everything in a single file, and i'm talking about a big project (4K video at 60fps, and with 27 minutes of duration) i really need to know if everything will fit properly on the disk (i got 2,37Terabyte free)...

Or is there also an option to save disk space by maybe automatically also delete the files that won't be of much use or something, apart of the first question?

 

Edit: i already found the option, i choose to generate the .txt and it says how much disk space it will need, but still, does it have an option to compress files or something?

 

Please reply me as soon as you can, i really need to know if there's that option!

Function Key F9 doesn't work

Hi,

I like to use F9 in after effects for Easy Ease. I know there are conflicts with OS function keys but I can't figure out how to fix this conflict with Mavericks 10.9.4 so I can use the function keys in AE CC 2014 (and even Premiere).

Any ideas?

Precomposition slow. Export and import fast.

I have a composition that uses timewarp 3 times that is 10 seconds long. It is one of 4 sequences in premiere. All 4 together last about 16 seconds. Using replace with after effects composition when I tried to render the 4 it said it was going to take 17 hours.

 

To investigate, I tried rendering the the composition with timewarp 3 times. Rendering took 5 hours on an i7 with 32GB ram and a quadro k1000m.

 

So I tried precomposing layers since it is just one clip in a bigger video and I need to play it repeatedly while assembling a sequence. Precomposing and prerendering 1 layer took 30 minutes, the next took 30 minutes, then I gave up.

 

So, I started over rendering each layer into a lossless avi then importing it and applying hte next layer. Rendering the entire composition this way took about 6 minutes.

 

Am I doing something wrong. Or, is this what I should expect from prerendering?

How long will it take to make decent-good commercial 2 min video clips of product presentations

Hi.

 

I've been working with 3d modeling and rendering now for a year and can do good work in CAD software.

I would like to take this a step further and be able next year to make 2 min advertisement video clips of products I've modeled and rendered.

I can use photoshop on a beginner level for product visualization and is starting to spend more of my time becoming better in PS.

 

In order to make 2 min clips for commercial use for visualize and present my products with an assemble animation of it like this:

"RAM preview needs 2 or more frames to render playback" AE CC

This issue started out of nowhere for what I consider to be no reason. Working on average sized 720p compositions with modest animations.

 

I have tried all suggested solutions on this forum yet nothing has worked. I am running fresh comps in AE CC with absolutely no plugins, freshly purged memory, cleaned cache, restarted comp, no other applications running on computer and 13 gb of memory allocated to AE... etc.

 

I cannot seem to fix this issue.

 

Whats the next step?

After Effects CC 2014 Update Stuck at 50%

Anyone else having this issue? At first it failed because it "couldn't open the downloaded file" or something to that effect. I started it again and it just stops at 50%. I hit cancel and it's still "finishing" it's process. I hope this didn't mess up my install. Any advice is appreciated.

"Unable to allocate memory" popup on Quit

First visit here, and hoping someone can help...

 

Following Creative Cloud updating my installation of After Effects to v12.1.0.168 today, I now have a frustrating dialogue box that pops up every time I quit... any ideas? This wasn't happening before AE was updated, and happens even if I have no other applications running. My system is a fairly standard mid-2011 iMac – 3.4GHz i7, 16GB RAM with AMD Radeon HD6970 2GB – and I'm currently still running OS X 10.8.5.

 

One other new issue is that if I double-click a project file in the Finder to launch After Effects, the project doesn't actually open, only the application.

 

I've tried rebooting, repairing permissions and also downloaded the 12.1 updater and re-installed just in case there was an issue with the CC download, but all to no avail

Here you go.  A related issue.  Original post was OVER 1 YEAR AGO and STILL NOT RESOLVE.  Several people have replied in the past days and weeks updating the issue.

 

ZERO response from Adobe.

Text Tool problems AE

I recently upgraded to cc from cs5 , I only had rendering issues on CS5. The rendering issues are now a thing of the past but, for some reason, my text tool in CC is not working.When I try to type, nothing happens. Anyone knows what can cause that?

mp4 from After Effects won't play on iPad Air

I have a series of mp4 vids - some are exported from Premiere, others, After Effects - CS6 Win7 x64.

They all play in iTunes, but the vids from AE won't play on the iPad.  Even when I sync them the iPad identifies them as unplayable.

Any ideas what could cause this?

Seit After Effects 13.2 Installation lassen sich viele meiner Projekte nicht mehr öffnen. Zum Glück habe ich einen Tag vor der Installation zwei wichtige Projekte abschließen können. Wenn ich nun die Dateien öffne kommen diese Meldungen:

die 7508 ist immer eine andere Zahl. Das "<ae.blitpipe> <2> Making New Context" steht immer dabei.

 

Ich speichere immer Kopien meiner Projekte und kann so historisch ältere Varianten öffnen. Manchmal habe ich Glück und das Projekt geht auf, oder solche Meldungen erscheinen;

Ich kann leider nicht erkennen, was ich in den fehlerhaften Versionen evtl. mehr an Effekten oder so nutze.

 

Neue Projekte scheinen zu gehen...

Ich habe schon die Cache Ordner gelöscht und mal alle Plugins verschoben, weil ich vermutet habe, dass eins Probleme macht.

Premiere Pro macht auch Probleme, aber nur, wenn Kompositionen aus After Effects im Projekt enthalten sind (was bei mir eigentlich immer der Fall ist)

Wenn ich die After Effects Datei verschiebe und in Premiere als Offline setze, geht das projekt auf und ich kann daran arbeiten.

 

Ist das ein Problem mit der Version oder doch etwas individuelles bei mir?

 

Kann man After Effects reparieren lassen? Unter Programme und Funktionen sieht es so aus:

da stimmt doch etwas nicht. Neuinstallation würde ich gerne vermeiden, wegen der Plugins und Co. Aber notfalls ist das ein Weg...

Text layer transitions

AE beginner here...   I purchased an AE template online and understand how to edit the text layers within the template but... Each text layer transitions into the next text layer. I am trying to figure out how to get the first text layer to stay on the screen when the second layer transitions in. I would also like for the second layer to transition earlier in the timeline. I know my way around PS and PP fairly well but AE is new to me. It's not obvious how the layers work together. Any help is appreciated!

Rendering a simple file gives me problems

Dear all,

Help a newbie.

I am trying to render a simple flight pass that seems to work in After Effects but results in a broken up avi file.

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to attach a screen capture. System kep asking for file smaller than 8.7 GB

and my file is smaller.

What am I doing wrong?

System is Windows 7 and Adobe Master Collection CS6

Composition windows suddenly totally grayed out - nothing displays.

Was working on a video, had like 6 compositions I'd put together into a final comp - rendered it, and then when I went back into the individual compositions, all of them but one no longer display anything - it's just a total gray screen. See screenshot.

 

It's not that the window is offscreen or something - there is just nothing there. Oddly when I scrub through the final comp, everything displays. It's like it's there, but I just can't see it in the individual comps.

 

If I go back far enough in my autosaves, the windows are still there, but huge chunks of work would need to be redone.

 

Please tell me there's just something I'm missing. This sucks.

yosemite, After Effects CS6, .r3d files

Hi,

 

I am having multiple problem with after effect (CS6 11.0.4) on the new mac operating system (Yosemite) regarding .r3d files.

 

Before I updated to Yosemite. I was able to view, edit, render, etc RED files in After Effects. Now that I have updated to Yosemite I cannot use the RAM preview (when I try it says Error, that I need to select more than one frame). I also cannot render my project out (that has RED files). After I've opened a project file, when I first place the scrubber in my timeline I can see the frame I've selected but when I move the scrubber to a different location the whole file is black and stays that way no matter how many times I move the scrubber to different locations. When I close the project file with RED files I get a warning that says adobe doesn't recognize the file and they are unsupported but I never got this error with Mavericks.

 

I opened a project file with .mov files and everything seems to work just fine. I also opened a project file that had .mov and .r3d files in the same project. Everything worked fine for the .mov but I was having the same issues with the .r3d.

 

Anyone know how to fix this?

AE CC Preferences for cache and RAM iMac 5k

I have a new iMac 5K with 32GB Ram/ 4GHz Quad core i7.  What are the recommended settings in preferences to maximize performance for this system?  I use a Thunderbolt drive for the media, so where should I put the folder for the DISK CACHE?  Should the CONFORMED MEDIA AND CACHE stay in the default folder? How should the RAM be allocated?

If anyone has experience with this system and how best to maximize performance, I would appreciate your input.

Maybe I'm dreaming: was there ever a before-video After Effects for Ps?

Not having the least interest in video or animation myself, I have not looked into After Effects in years. 


I've been an Adobe customer since the early 1980s and a user of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign for over a decade, or since those programs were launched, whatever came first. Been on the forums since the CompuServe days.


Am I totally wrong, or was there a time when After Effects was used by Photoshop users who, like me, did not need video features?  I am now surprised to see that AE is now mostly all about video editing.


I do have a sound reason for inquiring, but I don't want to bother the community with the details before they become pertinent.

AE CC: Will no longer collect files

Never ran into this before, started with the most recent update.
Whenever I try to collect files, it inevitably gets to:

 

After Effects warning: The file...... could not be found.

 

Then it ends collecting, so whatever is beyond that file is never copied. Incredibly frustrating. I thought at first it may be file names, long paths, etc. but right now I'm looking at a problem with a file named IMAC.png that resides in /(Footage)/Source/images/ - so that can't be it.

 

I have a RAID setup that I work from, so I also tried collecting to the desktop. Same thing.

 

Any thoughts appreciated.
