Using Windows Server 2008 with After Effects as Render Slave?
Hi guys,
We have a fair number of servers that run Windows Server 2008 64bit. We wanted to further utilize these boxes and wanted to know if it's possible to use them as render slaves with After Effects? Anybody doing this? We couldn't find anything for system requirements on Windows Server 2008.

Changing the color of a white shirt?
I shot a subject on a green screen and have keyed them out. Their shirt is white and I would like to color it into a solid. I tried to use the change to color to with no avail. How would I add color to the white shirt without affecting the skin tones?

Not able to render the whole video.
This has happened to me before, and I have had to abandoned other projects because i couldn't find any answers to this.
Problem:
When I go to render, it will render the first couple of clips and music, but when it gets to the main editing portion of the video, it refuses to render. I can't seem to find the error that it was giving me, but it was something about needing 2 or more frames to render, as well as an error saying something about my composition size and it being too small or large. I have followed tutorials, but nothing is working for me. I will provide the screenshot to help show my problem.
The red line is where it stops the render.

How to download "From" and " MBL" effect ?
I started to edit an intro for my YT channel and for a friend and I preferred to use after effects but i have missing effects it gives me this message
" After Effects warning: This project references to missing effects. Please install the following effects to restore these references."
2 missing effects.
1) "From"
2) "Magic bullet looks"
What should i do ?

After Effects error: Photoshop file format error 3415 ( 45 :: 35 )
I just installed After Effects CC 2015 today and then installed an update to After Effects which addresses Adobe Camera Raw. I am running Windows 7. I am now unable to import .dng footage shot on the Blackmagic Cinema Camera into After Effects. ACR opens and shows me the first frame of the DNG sequence just fine but when I close ADR I get the error message:
After Effects error: Photoshop file format error 3415.
( 45 :: 35 )
The image I see in After Effects is then that of the HD Bars and Tone, which indicates a missing or non-viewable file.
Suggestions?

3D conversion issue
I'm having trouble with a 3D conversion in After Effects CC. I'm working on a .png file that is in its own layer in my composition. When I check the "3D layer" box, the graphic disappears. It still has the anchor points around the shape so I can manipulate the geometry options (curvature, segments), but can no longer see the actual graphic. I'm also getting the following message in a popup box, "After Effects error: Ray-traced 3D: Out of paged mapped memory for ray tracer. Your project may exceed GPU limits. Try closing other applications. Try updating the CUDA driver. ( 5070 :: 2 )."
After seeing that, I closed Illustrator, but the message is still popping up and I can't see the graphic. I'm working on a late 2008 MacBook Pro with the following specs:
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB and memory
Memory: 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Any recommendations on how to fix this problem? Thank you!

C4D Lite Loads Old Project
This started happening today.
If I create a new AE project and then open C4D Lite, C4D is loading the contents of an already existing C4D project into what should be a blank default project. It is always the same project being loaded. Not only are the objects being loaded but the project setting are changed from the defaults.
I'm sure I've done something stupid, but I can't find anything in the C4D preferences that would explain why this is happening. I've cleared the AE cache, changed the location of the C4D cache and rebooted my system without any effect.
Any ideas would be helpful, thanks.

Need help using a certain font!
I've been trying to create a certain font in Adobe Premiere Pro with no success. The font is basically a white rectangular text box with transparent letters inside of it. However, it seems like the program doesn't have the ability to "color fill" the text box containing the transparent letters. Does anyone know how to do this? (It would be helpful if another program could do it, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, or Adobe Illustrator, if Adobe Premiere cannot.) Than you!

After Effects CC 2015 crashes on start on win 7
So I've downloaded Creative Cloud and then am attempting to install After Effects CC (2015) Trial on my Win 7 64 bit machine. I've installed/uninstalled and reinstalled three times now attempting to resolve - also searched the forums for an hour and could not find my issue. it installs successfully but when I go to launch the app I get the following errors in this order and the program just never launches. The first error generates the same message with different 4 digit numbers in the brackets each time the rest is the same always saying "Making New Context". Please tell me what other info you need to know to help me.

Effects&Presets panel crashes after effects
Any touch to Effects&Presets panel causes to crash After Effects.
It shows as empty panel. Nothing is there ...
If click with mouse - crash
If click into search bar - crash
Effects, as usualy, still possible apply from effects menu with no problem.
Just updated from cloud. Nothing changes.

Animating a Filter from Photoshop in After Effects
Hi,
Is it possible to animate a filter from Photoshop (Cutout Filter) in After Effects?
What I mean is I put the Cutout Filter on top of a still picture. But I want to animate that cutout filter over a 5 or 10 second period so it covers the photograph over time.
Is that possible?
Do I have to get the latest After Effects to do that?

quicktime wrapped h.264 please update format constraints!!!
Really a bummer that I have to go through media encoder to encode UHD h.264 files... Why is AE internal render limited to 2000x1920 when trying to encode 3840x1920?
I am sure this is a limitation adobe specially wrote in so that you could not crash AE by trying to render to large a raster for h.264 back in the day. But now its fine and that limitation should be removed.

Liquify effect causing issues
Im working with the liquify effect and when it has has problems.
My computer should not have an issue with this
My after effects is up to date

2015.2 release
What i want to know is of this is a issue with 2015 or my hardware. Its funny to me that the liquify effect from all the many things ive done with my computer is the thing to slow me down. lol HELP!
-Painfully slow
-cached preview needs 2 or more frames error
-the brush isn't circular

problem with the selection tool
hello guys, 
How can select my shape layer point and move it?
I usually do with the select tool, but now when I mouse hover with it a white arrow with a square appears instead of the black one, thus I'm unable to select.
I've struggled with this hours and hours, couldn't find any solution. it always happens when animating shape layers that I import from illustrator...

Render Queue Problem: After I add comp to Queue, I can't click on anything!
This is a really infuriating problem I've been wrestling with the last hour or so where after hitting "add comp to render queue", then I go to the render queue, and click "Best Settings" so I can start setting my render settings, all of the sudden I am unable to click on anything. It's not freezing up, but I am on a Mac, and you know the "bonk!" sound Mac makes when you try clicking on something you can't click on? It makes that sound, no matter where I click in AE and I have to force quit because I can't even click to quit the normal way.
I've never ever had this issue before. I've been using AE for a long time but I'm by no means a pro at it -- so is this something stupid that I'm doing, or a bug? It's ground my work to a halt and I'm so frustrated.

Render image sequence in AE
Have taken some images for a timelapse project and now I want to render the sequence to a video. Usually I have rendered with the format "animation". But lately I learned that I could choose different format, i.e "H.264. But when I do so, I get a message that there is mismatch in settings and that the format will be change from 4096x2731 to 2000x2000 to meet format restraints. Why does this happen? Why can't I render in 4096x2731 in H.264?

Still Image Quality Loss After Pasting Tracking Data from Mocha AE into After Effects
I utilized Mocha AE to do planar tracking on a rooftop in a 4k video. I successfully tracked it, specifying the rooftop as the tracking surface. I copied the tracking information into After Effects CC 2015 onto a still image that I wanted to place on the rooftop. However, upon doing that, my still image (size: 6594 × 3744 pixels) appears to have undergone a drastic loss of quality, being almost entirely blurred even when it isn’t scaled up. Does anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Hi guys, every time I try to import a preset transition i downloaded i get this error message. I have been playing around with it for the past 4 hours and its becoming really frustrating. If anyone could help me resolve this, that would amazing.
