After effect's particle world not working

Hi all,
I've been trying to (unsuccessfully) use the Particle World Plugin for a few days now. Whenever I hit the play (preview button), nothing happens e.g: particles do not appear or move. I've tried a few things, firstly clearing my media disk and cache. Secondly uninstalling and re-installing Adobe After Effects, but none of these strategies seem to be work.
Basically, I'm attempting to create glitter-like particles on a normal jpg image. Supringsly, when I first tried using the following tutorial: How to create Fairy Glitter in Adobe After Effects - YouTube

Perhaps the -Z symbol has something to do with it not working? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

after effects c4d importer error

Hi guys. I have a problem with after effects cc 2017 when i import a c4d file. Exemple Sparta.aec.

I have tried to update the c4d importer but nothing changed.

The message says: "After effects- Error: Ipmpssible to import the file 'sparta' because it's not a recognized file"

Pls help me guys D:

AE Render Backwards

Is it possible to make AE render an image sequence backwards? as in from last frame to first.

The idea being you can set another computer with identical files rendering forwards and they can meet in the middle.

Blank White Comp Window

I did the June update to help with the audio bugs I was having. Now I have no audio and a completely white comp window.

 

Please help. This is unacceptable!

Salve a tutti, vorrei esportare un progetto di After Effects in ProRes 422 ma non so come fare, avevo letto che After Effects adesso supportava il ProRes ma tra le opzioni di export non c'è. Come devo fare? volevo provare a convertirlo con Media Encoder ma il programma non si apre. Grazie in anticipo a tutti per le risposte.

Liquid animation

Hello,

 

I have this now. Now when the E and Z come in, and want at both the upper and lower side that the sides of the grey/white stuff will like wobble a bit off the impact that the E and Z make. Since they come in really fast it needs to make like a liquid sorta wobble, would look really smooth. I've looked up liquid animation tutorials before but nothing seems to do what I want here. Anyone can help me out?

Hi! I'm having problems copying a composition on AE.

 

When I click CMD+C the program crashes and this message appears

(After effects has encoutered an error [../../../../../ext/adobe/MediaCore/MediaFoundation/API/ Inc/Keyframe/Keyframe.h-146]).

I'm using AE CC 2015 on OS X Yosemite. Hopefully someone will be able to help me. Thanks

Hi, I added a wiggle expression to my Camera layer but I'd like to use keyframes to enable and disable it. Tutorial on YouTube said use "Slider"" effect to create keyframes wbut it doesn't work.

Sending render to encoder from Ae - takes too a long time or doesn't appear at all

When working on large projects, if I try to send a render to encoder it takes an extremely long time (up to half an hour) to appear in the encoder queue or just never appears at all.  I am currently running Ae 2017.2, encoder 2017.1 and OSX

 

I am currently running Ae 2017.2, encoder 2017.1 and OSX el Capitan 10.11.6.

(current project causing me issues is an 80mb aep file referencing many vector files. duration of main export is 5min)

 

I am a freelance animator and have used many different iMacs, towers, and MacBooks and I have been having this same issue in all locations for about 2 years.

 

There is no way to know if the comp is being processed for rendering or if I am just wasting my time waiting for it to appear in Encoder (I am currently missing my lunchbreak hoping for the comp to pop up in Encoder.)

 

If this is just how Encoder works then my suggested fix would be a process bar indicating that an ae comp is pending.

Masking 2 Layers

I have these two layers (Null & Timeline-complete) and I'd like to use one mask to mask elements on both layers. And I'd like to keyframe the mask so as I move along on the timeline I can keyframe where I want the mask to be active or not. I couldn't find a good answer after searching. Here is a screen shot. Thanks!

screen card & processor recommanationd

Hi all,

I got a PC technical specifications that include the following screen card and processor -

* BOX INTEL Core I77700 3.60 HZ 8M 

* MSI GTX 1060 3G OC DVI/HDMI/DPx3

I need a computer that works fast and doesn't ask for coffee breaks...
Are those parts are sufficient? I'm not looking for the most expensive parts but if there are better parts and the price gap is quite minor, it would be great.

In addition, if I have enough budget to upgrade only one of them, which one should I choose?

How do I turn off automatic keyframes?

Hi,

 

My version of After Effects now creates automatic keyframes.

 

If I change any parameter, even though I have NOT toggled the stopwatch it will automatically toggle the stop watch and make keyframes.

How do I turn this feature off?

Blurry animation in After Effects

I've think I've done something wrong whilst creating a new animation...

 

I've imported my .ai files into AE and animated but when I export these if I view fullscreen in QT the animation looks blurry and not sharp. So I looked at it in AE - On the AE composition viewer screen at 100% it looks fine, 200% is blurry)

 

I think the problem might lie with the actual source files maybe? I created my 'scene' (just basic characters) in Illustrator using the NTSC DV Widescreen template, I have no idea why. Is there any way of saving this animation so I don't have to re-import and do all the keyframes again?

 

Any help much appreciated!

Expected better results using Difference Matte

I'm having trouble creating transparency using a Difference Matte. I have a still background image without moving object that I use for the Difference Layer and the footage. The camera is mounted on a tripod so there's no camera shake.

 

Here is the still Difference Layer image

The object I want to isolate is the car in the foreground

Is there anyway to improve this as it just look ridiculous?

After Effect error: Could not allocate sound memory

Trying to remain calm about this but how do I freaking deal with this error!?

 

I am at the point where I'm ready to ask Adobe to cancel the membership and give me back my money as I have been unable to do anything productive with After Effect because of this error! I have looked around for answers but none either works or solve the problem. Here's the following information as I need answers ASAP as to how to fix this:

 

Software:

- After Effect CC 2015 (Version 13.6.1.6)

- Error code: 26 :: 392

 

Laptop:

- Type: Macbook Pro

- Operating System: OS X Yosemite (version 10.10.5)

- RAM/Memory: 16 GB

 

How I temporarily solved:

- Used .MOV and .AIF for visual and audio instead of .MP4 and .MP3 - worked for 2 videos before error happened again

 

What have I done:

- tried .MP3, .MP4, .MOV, .AIF

- tried compressing my files

 

'Solutions' that doesnt work:

-> Uninstall Quicktime: I can not do that because my laptop will not allow it. That program is required in the system so uninstalling is out of the question

-> Using other programs: I do not have the money to trail and error any and all programs that supposedly fix the error

3D tracking camera problem

Whenever I track a camera and create a new solid or text, the solid doesn't follow the tracked point, is there any solution to this or am I doing it wrong? Here's a video to show what I mean.

After Effects CC 2017 won't open? Appears in task manager but disappears quickly?

I'm using Windows 10. Before this problem, After Effects didn't start up at all. I've also tried reinstalling Creative Cloud and After Effects but it didn't work.

When I look at the task manager while clicking open in the creative cloud software, it appears but quickly disappears after. Or sometimes it'll appear and sometimes it won't at all.

It usually appears under Adobe CEF Helper. Photoshop works just fine when I open it, but I just bought AE.

After effects crashes when the Explorer window opens

After effect crashes every time when Explorer window is opened.

I mean that this happens when opens the Windows Explorer window (save as, import, output to, etc..).

To use the new version is simply impossible, it is necessary to return to the 2013 version

 

Maybe there is a solution to the problem?

Version 2013 works perfectly.

When I booted in safe mode, this problem disappeared.

Windows reinstalled - it does not help.

Expression for recup the position for a stroke in dotted line (the begining and the end of stroke line).

Hi, i work actually in After Effect, i want to know if it's exist expression for recup the position for a stroke in dotted line (the begining and the end of stroke line). I don't know to copy the position with à null oblect/layer.

i'm explain :

I have a vectoriel object : a plane.  This planes have to follow my stoke dotted line, but when i'm copy the path and copy that in my object, the plane don't follow the dots. He follow the path, yes… but not the end or beginning conditions that i have write for the path.

someone know if expression exist for a dotted line path ?

 

(I'm sorry for my english so…Frenchy…(i'm french…).
