Hi,
I'm trying to track below with Mocha. I've seen tutorials and nothing seems to be as smooth as Iv'e seen on you tube.
I'm curious on what certain lines are. I know the x-spline (Red) and "show planer" (Blue) and try to understand what they do. I'm trying to replace the screen with an image. What would be the best way to track this in mocha?
Please help! I have to turn this in tomorrow with out hours of constant correction.

I'm helping a customer of mine that is having an issue with Adobe After Effects and his network share.
He keeps getting errors that temporary files can't be found when trying to save a project to the share.
He's using version 15, build 180.
He's using Mac Sierra OS. It's an AFP Share.
After effects is the only program he's experiencing problems with this network share. I can ask questions to him if more information is needed to help solve the issue.

Tout d'abord désolé mais je n'arrive pas à mettre de mot sur mon titre de demande (il doit y avoir un terme technique pour ma demande)
Je suis l heureux possesseur de CS6 depuis 1 mois, j ai fait un clip vidéo mais me retrouve face à un problème.
Tout d abord l idée est de faire une vidéo ou mon corps disparaît et l on voie seulement mes mains (je fait rotoscopie 8h pour 5 minute de vidéo).
J'ai une question très important puis la 2 eme est plutôt une idée de solution.
1 ) Voila une copie écran de mon projet ( ce n est qu une ébauche mais c'est juste pour imager ma demande)
Le problème c'est que quand je fais passer la main au dessus de la table comme ceci (roto degeux mais c juste pour imager ma demande 
)
J aimerai que quand la transparence passe au dessus de la table, on ne le voie pas (j ai essayé d impr écran et de mettre la table bleue en JPEG, mais difference couleurs et on voie le contour du bras meme quand je travaille le contour).
je souhaiterai donc pouvoir naviguer avec mes mains au dessus de la table sans que l on voie le "trucage"
2 eme question
Je passe par rotoscopie 8h pour 5 min de vidéo , j essaie avec keylight mais le resultat est déguelasse a cause des ombres je pense, et peut être difference de vert, mais n étant pas en France, je ne trouve pas ici de tenues spéciales chromakey. Je dois meme fabriquer mes soft box.
Voici la foto de ma façon de travailler, sachant que j utisie aussi une cam standard, mais les resultats son propres si je dois seulement me détourer moi.
Par contre faire promener mes mains sans mon corps c est une autre histoire. Si quelqu un a une idée, je suis preneur, ca me ferai gagner un temps fou (j ai 50 vidéos à faire de ce type)
Voila, je remercie tout ceux qui on pris le temps de me lire, et qui pourront aider le novice que je suis. Je passerai checker tout ca en fin d après midi, en espérant avoir assez d element de réponse pour pouvoir bosser ce soir.

So i had the trial for 2018 and it ended in the middle of when i was working on my edit for a good whole day and i have the full version of 2017 but it doesnt let me open the 2018 file

Does After Effects display the number of layers I haves selected anywhere? So I don't have to count them

I've been working with After Effects 2017 on my Mac, and then switched over to an ASUS which allowed me to download the latest update: AE 2018. The problem I noticed was that if I opened a new window or after a couple of minutes working on my project, audio seemed to stop working. The original file has audio though, and audio would work every time I re-opened AE. This wasn't too big of an issue, just a hassle really to keep opening and exiting out of AE so I could hear my audio.
I kind of need audio too since I'm working on a project for a client where I have a person talking in front of a green screen and animate some stuff that goes along with the audio.
I exported the file and audio didn't export out with it. I've checked everything, exported out as MOV and AVI and checked audio settings. I thought I found a solution if I imported the file into Premiere and then exported it out, but that didn't work either.
I even tried importing the original files and just syncing the audio to the final project, but audio still wasn't playing back in Premiere and it's a little hard to sync audio when you can't hear...
I'm pretty desperate to find a solution to say the least, and feel like I've just ran into a bunch of dead ends.
Is anyone else having the same problem and found a solution? Or maybe there's an update in the works and this is just a bug with the new 2018 update?

After using a monitor for my work home is my after effects screen changed in format. The problem now is that I cant reach the green plus (on mac) because I dont have a monitor with me. Because I'm at work and here is no monitor available I cant change it. Is there a way to get this to fit my screen?
I noticed this question has been discussed in past years but never truely answered. So bringing it up again to see if there have been any improvements.
I was shooting some event footage at a corn maze and shooting with available light. That light was a series of cheap LEDs, street lamps, and so forth. All of which produced wide horizontal banding when my shutter speed was set around 1/60 and 1/80 of a second. Creating a post production issue where I have not found a solution just yet to remove the unsightly look. All likelihood I will just ignore the footage, however, that should not be the case in trying to find a solution to this problem.
There are plugins out there that "fix" the issue. But wanting to focus on just using plugins and techniques inside After Effects without resorting to third party plugins first. So has anyone encountered this issue and found a solution that can fix the problem? I am certain this has been an issue since DSLRs are so common place now for videography, that nearly everyone has this issue.

The wiggler in After Effects does not appear to be working. I apply it, the keyframes show but no movement is applied. Any ideas anyone?
I just got a wacom intuos draw for use in After Effects. The pen pressure is not working in after effects even when dynamics is set to pen pressure. It simply sraws a 1 px line. I attached an image to show what I mean. The tablet and pen pressure work perfectly in Photoshop so it seems like an after effects problem. I have the most recent driver and totally up to date with cc 2017. Thanks!
I am trying to learn how to animate a photoshop file by bringing it into after effects.
I can make a keyframe for opacity, but can't see how to edit the value. The opacity % doesn't appear (drop down).
Any advice would be v.much appreciated!

My animation is 10 seconds long. It is a series of layers that simulate fire moving horizontally. It previews the full 10 sec. duration. But, it will not finish the animation beyond ~8 seconds. Iv'e gone through each layer, previewed the layer successfully. Tried rendering each set of layers as separate renders but without success. Most of the AE included codex have been tried without any success on any of them. Rendering a frame sequence made no difference. My lastest guess is that my expressions ([time*-2000, 0]), simple as they may be, are not giving me the results I need. But why complete previews but incomplete renders only? Iv'e looked to see if any of my Offset Turbulence links were perhaps broken, they were all connected correctly. Frustrated? Ya, tell me about it. Something simple? Very probably.
CC After Effects, MacPro (circa. 2016), frame dimension is 5000 x 600.
Hi, I'm having trouble finding anyone with the same problem anywhere on the internet so here goes:
In AE 15.0.1 on a 2018 iMac Pro, when I select a layer and try to copy, instead AE will save the project and crash. It happens if I use Cmd+C or Edit>Copy. It only happens when copying layers, I haven't had it happen while copying anything else yet.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I have shot some footage in a green screen studio. It's a simple shot of a tv in front of a green screen, with a hand just touching some buttons. However, the tv is a shade of blue-green. So when I try to key the background colour out, the colour of the tv also disappears and everything just looks a dirty greyish colour. Is there a way to screen out the background, and the inside of the tv screen, but not the tv itself? I should've painted the tv another colour probably, but I can't change that anymore.

I've set the background colour in AE to a darkish blue, when it's pulled into PP it's black. I can't find anything on the forums either : /

I downloaded this preset from Motion Array.
12 Free Modern Titles - After Effects Templates | Motion Array
I copied the folder into my Adobe After Effect CC 2018 user presets folder. Then I went to After Effects and tried to look for it under Effects & Presets. But it won't show. I tried "Refresh List" but the downloaded preset still won't show.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Whenever I try to render my project in After Effects CC 2017 (either in H.264 or Quicktime TIFF) my computer freezes/crashes, usually with about 10 minutes to go.
I've deleted all my temp and cache files so I have plenty of disc space. I've also tried using Media Encoder as a alternative but the render fails/freezes in that too. This problem is extremely frustrating and I hope someone can solve it!! I have a project due for school and desperately need to fix this issue.

I have recently upgraded, where I was using a version of CC 2015 which was able to render any effects I had put through it.
I have recently purchased and installed the Video CoPILOT Element 3D V2.2 to work with a template AE file from Videohive:

Here are my AE preference settings that may be relevant:
Now to the problem, EVERY time I go to render, AE crashes. I have tried using Adobe Media Encoder CC 2017 to render, I've tried using AE CC 2017 to render, every time, AE fails. It takes less than 5 seconds for the freeze, and within 30 seconds, I've lost AE and the file won't render.
I'm a business owner who specialises in advertising and generally use resources to create AE content, but right now, I'm just trying to work out what in the hell is going wrong.
Is my iMac, simply being a mid 2011 12Mb RAM machine, too old? Is there a setting I can change? Is there a fix to this problem?
